With determination, heavy breathing and knees knocking, I opened the closet door.  To my dismay the monster lay on the floor.
Bless her heart she had been in a wreck and no longer did appear to be such a threat.  Her head was wrapped with kerlix with her long green messy hair poking out, her eyes were both black and blue and her lips were in a pout.
The left arm was in a cast and suspended by a sling, the right arm was naked with a tat that said “daddy’s baby girl”.  With 4x4’s plastered to her right elbow and band aids on her  skinned knees the black eyes closed, it looked like my monster had a few boo boos.
Although she was almost totally covered in  sticky green mud, a small print of flowers was noticed on her yellow dress.  Her legs were at odd angles with one Mary Jane shoe laying on the floor and the other shoe, who knows where.  With quiet determination and holding my breath, I quietly crept towards the messy monster  caring a  beautiful hand made  quilt & placed it on the sweet monster that had been in the wreck!
What a crazy dream!  It was only my mother tucking me in as she quietly went to her warm bed.
